Privacy policy

Share Moments (“the app”, “we”) lets the guests of an event share photos and videos with each other for a limited period of time. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it and how long we keep it.

1. Data we collect

Account data: signing in with Google is required to use Share Moments. When you do, we receive your display name and a unique identifier for your account (through Firebase). We never access your Google password or any other profile data.
Photos and videos: the content you upload to an event, along with the date it was captured and uploaded.
Event data: the event name and which events you joined, with the date you joined.

We do not collect your location, we do not use advertising trackers and we do not access your contacts.

2. How we use your data

We use this information solely so that the guests of the same event can view, download and share the photos and videos uploaded during that event.

3. Storage and retention

Photos and videos are stored on Amazon S3 and are deleted automatically when the event’s active window ends. On the free plan that window is 72 hours (3 days), which is the minimum; if the host buys a paid extension for that event, it can reach up to 7 days. After that the content is no longer available in the app and is deleted. We recommend downloading or sharing anything you want to keep before the window ends.

3.1 Content rules

Anything you upload to an event must follow our Content and Conduct Rules.

4. Who we share data with

Other guests of the event: photos and videos uploaded to an event are visible to everyone who joined that same event.
Infrastructure providers: Google/Firebase (authentication) and Amazon Web Services (file storage), acting as data processors on our behalf.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.

5. Security

We apply reasonable technical measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. That said, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of or deletion of your data by writing to support@sham-app.store. For detailed instructions on deleting your account, visit this page.

7. Minors

Share Moments is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be published on this same page with the corresponding update date.
